Stream quality

Resolution and bitrate are set per channel by a quality preset.

Each channel has a quality preset. The Free plan streams at 480p (2.5 Mbps). Every paid plan streams at 720p HD (4.5 Mbps), and plans with a higher bitrate limit also offer 1080p Full HD (6 Mbps). The channel editor only shows the presets your plan allows; upgrading unlocks the higher ones immediately. The server encodes at the preset's bitrate for every destination, so the quality you pick is what all platforms receive. Higher quality needs a stronger upload connection, especially from a phone on mobile data.

Why a stream might not look sharp

Sharpness depends on three things: the channel's quality preset (Free plan channels are 480p; choose 720p or 1080p on paid plans), your upload connection, and what the platform does on its side (YouTube re-encodes and needs a minute or two to offer the HD version to viewers). For screen shares with small text, prefer 1080p where your plan allows it. In the panel, make sure you have refreshed the page after an update so the latest sender settings are used.
